Prof Dr Marc Van den Eynde is a GI oncologist working at the Cliniques universitaires St-Luc (Brussels, Belgium) and UCLouvain. He treats gastrointestinal cancers with a special interest for colorectal and upper-GI cancers. His main research interest focusses on the characterization of the tumor immune microenvironment in colorectal cancer. He developed strong collaboration with different research laboratories aiming to characterize the complex interaction between cancer cells, immune cells, and the microbiome in colorectal cancer. Currently, he works as a part time clinician and part time researcher. He is a member of several scientific societies (ESMO, ASCO, BGDO, FFCD).
