Yves Depaifve holds a Bachelor’s (KH Leuven, 2004) and a Master’s degree in Nursing (KU Leuven, 2013). He currently works as a Nurse Specialist in Stoma and Incontinence Care at Jessa Hospital Hasselt (Belgium), building on more than a decade of expertise and 17 years of prior clinical practice in Abdominal Surgery and Urology, where he supported patients with intestinal and urinary stomas, urological conditions including urinary (in)continence and intermittent catheterization, transanal irrigation for LARS and neurological disorders, and complex abdominal wound care such as fistula management. Yves also serves as a board member of UROBEL, the Belgian professional association for urological nurses. Since 2021, he combines his responsibilities as a Nurse Specialist with his role as study coordinator in the Digestive Oncology department.
