Dr Giovanni Randon is a Medical Oncologist in the Gastrointestinal Cancer Program at Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan, Italy. His clinical activity is primarily dedicated to the care of both outpatients and inpatients with gastrointestinal malignancies. He serves as a referee for medical oncology within the multidisciplinary tumor board for lower GI cancers—including rectal and colon cancer, squamous cell anal carcinoma, and pseudomyxoma peritonei. In addition to clinical experience, he is actively involved in clinical and translational research. His research interests include innovative therapeutic strategies in gastroesophageal cancer, such as switch-maintenance approaches and immunotherapy in MSI-high disease or biomarker discovery focusing on targeted approaches such as EGFR blockade, BRAF/EGFR dual inhibition and HER2-directed therapy in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer.
