Lisa Salvatore is a Medical Oncologist at the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS, Rome, and a Researcher at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome. Since 2019 she is the coordinator of colon cancer multidisciplinary team. Since 2012 she is involved in the writing and update of the Italian guidelines on colorectal cancer and since 2020 she is the Coordinator of National guidelines.
She is involved in the management of patients with gastrointestinal cancer, in particular colorectal, pancreas and biliary tract cancer, and her main interest is clinical and translational research. She has conducted and she is conducting profit and no-profit clinical trials in colorectal, pancreatic and biliary tract cancer. She is member of GONO (Gruppo Oncologico del Nord-Ovest) GI group, a cooperative group of experts promoting independent research in the field of clinical gastrointestinal oncology in Italy. She has published more than 110 extended publications including papers in peer reviewed international and national journals and chapters of books.
