I’m currently working as a GI oncologist in UZ Leuven. Ik graduated from KU Leuven in 2021 as a gastro-enterologist an subsequently completed a fellowship in GI oncology in 2022. Since 2022 I started a PhD under supervision of Prof. Jeroen Dekervel, Prof. Sabine Tejpar and Prof. Philippe Nafteux exploring the value of ctDNA in Esophageal cancer funded by Kom Op Tegen Kanker. My interests lie in upper GI-cancer clinical-translational research as well as general GI oncology.
