Liesbet Lauwereins is a PhD researcher at the University of Leuven, specializing in the development of a mobile application for a bowel diary aimed at patients with Low Anterior Resection Syndrome (LARS) following rectal cancer surgery. She earned her master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy in 2019.
Her previous experience as a practical assistant at the University of Hasselt (UHasselt) and in rehabilitation at Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg (ZOL) helped shape her commitment to research that enhances the quality of life for individuals.
