Christopher is a GI medical oncologist at Leeds Cancer Centre (UK) and a Cancer Research UK clinical trials fellow. His research centres on predictive and prognostic biomarkers in colorectal cancer. He is the trial physician for the ARIEL biomarker-led trial of anti-EGFR therapy in AREG/EREG-high metastatic colorectal cancer, and for the FOxTROT platform of neoadjuvant therapies in locally advanced colon cancer. Drawing on his immunology background, he is a member of the trial management group for FOxTROT 5 and 6, testing neoadjuvant anti-PD1 immunotherapy in dMMR colon cancer, with a view to organ preservation.
